1. LIMITED RELEASE

Influenced by political music and the work of Carrie Reichardt I created two fabric record sleeves to act as limited edition releases of 12 inch singles. I wanted to criticise the commodification of art as well as the negative implications of over consumption. I cross stiched the lyrics of songs ‘Lord, Let That Tesla Crash’ by CMAT (2025) and ‘Merchadise’ by Fugazi (1990), over a screen print of a real headline.

I also created context cards reminiscent of vintage inner sleeves, they provide a background for the work as well as a pattern for the viewer to cross stich the design themselves.
